A little gift from me to you to make the Autumn and Halloween sew along even more fun! I've designed a pattern hack so you can turn some of my existing sewing patterns into a pumpkin doll. Read on to find out more

The pattern hack shows you how to turn my bunny, bear, cat or dog sewing patterns into an adorable pumpkin man (or lady)! It's a quick and easy doll to make and would make a fun decoration or gift for Autumn or Halloween. The pattern hack includes templates to draw the face and instructions for making the stalk

The pumpkin doll has the same size body as my original-size animal dolls, so it can wear any of their clothes as well as the clothes patterns available to order separately

I've dressed this pumpkin doll in the shirt from the mouse pattern and the overalls from the bear pattern

This pumpkin is wearing the shirt from the mouse pattern together with the trousers and waistcoat from the deer pattern. His outfit is finished off with the scarf from the knitted accessories pattern

The waistcoat from the winter essentials pattern also looks cute with the mouse shirt and deer trousers. The pattern also includes a fabric scarf which would look adorable! 

The free pumpkin doll pattern hack is available in the Studio Seren customer Facebook group. Everyone who orders my doll sewing patterns is invited to join the group. Autumn and Halloween sew-along

The Autumn and Halloween sew-along is running from now until Tuesday 29 October 2024. To join in share a photo of an Autumn or Halloween themed doll made using my sewing patterns. The pumpkin doll would be perfect! 

You could create an outfit for your doll in warm Autumn colours or find some adorable Autumn themed fabrics. The dress that comes with the fox pattern includes a cute felt mushroom you could sew to your doll's clothes! You could also sew an Autumn rainbow to your doll's clothes using my free template 

For those who love Halloween, why not make a black cat doll or use my free Halloween patterns to make a spooky outfit? There are lots of ideas available in the resources section to get you started 

There’s lots of time to join in—to take part share your Autumn or Halloween-themed doll using any of my sewing patterns by Tuesday, 29 October. I’ll be sharing everyone’s photos in my stories, and my daughter Seren will choose some of her favourites to feature on my website. Plus, one lucky participant will receive a sewing pattern of their choice!
