I've created this sweet rainbow template and instructions for you to add some colour to your animal doll's clothes!

It's a wonderful project to start with if you're new to embroidery, and kids could even join in to learn embroidery together. You can stitch a rainbow in classic primary colours or opt for pastels for a softer look. Want a boho vibe? Try an autumnal palette for your rainbow!

The rainbow looks adorable on the pocket of the bear overalls as shown here, and it would be super cute on other clothes like the bodice of the daisy dress, dog dress or romper, or cat dress, or even on the pocket of the lamb's jumpsuit!

The free rainbow template and instructions are available in the Studio Seren customer Facebook group. Everyone who orders my animal doll sewing patterns is invited to join the group. Rainbow sew-along

The Rainbow sew-along is running from now until Sunday 12 May. To join in share a photo of a rainbow-themed doll made using my sewing patterns.

You could make a unicorn with a rainbow mane, a ballerina in a multicolour tutu or find some fun rainbow-print fabric to make something colourful for your dolls to wear, it's a great opportunity to get creative and have fun!

I'll be sharing everyone's photos in my Instagram stories and when the sew-along is finished my daughter Seren will be choosing some of her favourites to feature on my website. She'll also be choosing one person to win a free sewing pattern! 

You can share your photos by tagging me in a photo on Instagram, emailing it to patterns@studioseren.com or sharing it in the customer Facebook group
